Help! Crackling Noise in Dash ?

I need Help ! I have a 2000 Corvette. And a crackling noise like a speaker in the dash on the drivers side is happening. Does it if car is running or cut off. Any help on this would be great.

I would ask how you make the noise happen?

Do you push on part of the dash? Open a door? Leave the key in the ignition and open the door?

It just pops and cracks like a old CB radio, most all the time. Does not run battery down. Sometimes by closing the driver door it makes it a little worse. Car does not have to be running. It is driving me crazy. Thanks for your interest in helping me. Lynn

Hi there,

There are no speakers in the dash, which would lead me to believe that maybe your drivers side front speaker assembly in the door may be creating the condition.

I would suggest disconnecting the door speaker and reevaluating the condition.
