Custom Interior....Sort of

I am replacing the interior of my 76, but I don't like the "firethorn red" color. Will a 68-72 interior fit a 76? The red is much brighter for those years. I am particularly concerned about the fit of the T-Top liners and T-bar.

Additionally it was mentioned that I should order all interior colored parts at the same time to insure that the dye batch is the same? Anyone have any comments on this?

I think it is always a good idea to buy all your interior items from the same vendor at the same time. Dye lots vary and vendors use their own dye sources so unless you want 4 shades of red in your interior get them all at once.

It is no guarantee but at least you stand a fighting chance. Remember you get what you pay for so if you are looking to save a few bucks be prepared to look at some funky colors for quite a while. This is not the place to skimp on quality.

Having said that do you have any particular vendor you like? I have dealt with several and seem to get the best service from The Last Detail. Eckler's seems to bit on the low side of quality, but that is just my personal experience and could be isolated incidents.
