Danica's driving ability questioned.

Ya know...initially, I was a big fan of Ms. Patrick's move to stock cars. I felt she showed potential in open-wheel and that might translate. After last season, I'm having my doubts.

It just may be that her talent for open wheel may not transfer and that it's more of a distraction to her focus on open wheel racing.

As said above...we'll see after today's NNS race.

Well she started 4th ,lead one lap and finished 14th .She would have done much better but she really didn't know how to push in a two car draft .She seamed to pick it up at the end but she was a lap down .Now I also like to see who finished behind her ,names like Nemecheck .Bodine ,Carl Edwards .Keselowski and the whole Wallace herd .

The two car draft is very intense for the weak of heart.I watched the truck race where only four trucks finished without being stove up .The 500 will be worth watching but I can't stand DW's mouth .

Boogity, boogity, boogity, just shut your mouth Darrell!;shrug

"Lets go racin boys" What a PIA he is.

It's like fingernails on a chalk board .When Mikie won the truck race I thought I was going to puke .Not because Mikie won but because of the commentary.

what a bunch of haters here. Just enjoy the race and ignore the mouth. :beer:w

I gotta admit I don't get the problem. :confused

Danica is finishing races (most of the time) and she's in the top half of the roster. You can stack her racing stats against the other drivers and you'll find she's competitive. She's a good looking gal who isn't afraid to market her assets, same as any of you would do if you were in her circumstances.

I have a feeling some of you expected Danica to be a novelty who would disappear within a season and become a footnote in racing history or a racing trivia question but instead she's still driving. The fact she's making a bit of extra money by marketing her looks is almost irrelevant.

Would you guys be happier if she was butt-ugly and ended up dead last in every race? :ugh

Perhaps you and Mrs. vett boy could have joined the Fundamentalist Mormons and welcomed Danica into your home and hearts?

I must admit it was nice to see a young new driver do so well in his first Daytona. He looks to know what he's doing behind the wheel and I hope to see him in more races.

:cool!:

On topic it seems he has something to sell just as Danica has.

;)

I think, all things considered, Patrick did ok in the NNS race. She was big enough to admit, after the race, that she doesn't have the two-car draft stuff down yet. As someone pointed out earlier in the thread, she finished ahead of some of the major players in the NNS.

She's making progress. It will be interesting to see how the rest of her Nationwide races go.
