Danica's driving ability questioned.

Light'en Up

Let's give the girl a break. She drives better than any of us and she looks like a million bucks.

Yeah, her looks makes her deserve all of the non stop media attention that she recieves not to mention that she has some of the best equipment on the track. That kid that won the 500 yesterday came out of nowhere and proved that he can drive a car and if she was in the race she would have got more attention than he did.

I agree --Women can't normally drive ;) (well) she does a pretty good job and your right she's better than us.

Second ,all those who don't like good looking' women raise your left hand :rotfl

One would have thought Sam Jr. would have done better being an old open wheel racer and he has dropped from Sprint back to Nationwide. Although I like Sam he is proof you can be damn good at one type of racing and not so good at another.

Danica shows in 7th place as of today and Sam is in 25th. even though he has many more championships under his belt than does Danica. I know that has nothing to do with what it will look like at the end of the season, jus sayin.

I've not seen Sam in a bikini but then I've not seen Danica in a beard, what's the point? :eyerole

Maybe Corvette Racing can get Danica to drive one of the Vettes as a third driver at one of the "long" ALMS races later this year. Would that make everyone happy?

Nah!

Nah!

Ms. Patrick has done the Daytona 24 hours twice. The first time, in 2006, she co-drove the 24-hrs of Daytona with Rusty Wallace in Lexus-Riley. The second time was '09 and she co-drove a Pontiac-Crawford with Andy Wallace

Apparently, she has endurance road racing experience.

Those two appearances were not her first experiences with ALMS cars. In 2003 she co-drove a Prodrive Ferrari at the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta where she finished 10th. Ironically, her competition was the C5R.

There ya go Mr.Tuna :cool

None of these drives were in a Corvette, so my comment still applies - if she were driving the C6R this year, would everyone be happy with her.

Still NAH!!

The majority of drivers who've run for Corvette Racing over the years have either been road racing vets or less experienced drivers who are focused on road racing sports cars...standout exceptions to that rule are Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and a few others.

Danica Patrick is not a driver who's focused on sports cars, though she claims to have a "...lot of fun" running them. Her main mission in life is open wheel racing and she wants an Indy 500 win. Until she achieves that goal or gets past her prime competitiveness, I don't think you'd see her in a full-season sports car ride.

My guess is until she is willing to become a full time sports car racer, you're not going to see her in a C6.R

Never really expected to see her in a C6.R - I was just wondering what she'd have to do to get people off her back about being a professional driver. She's probably a better driver than 99% of the folks here.

Tuna, she is a better driver than 99% of the people here but we're not trying to say we are. We don't get promoted by the media until the fans are sick of us then hit the track with the best equipment and come in 15th! You're totally missing the point.

Danica has paid her dues in the racing circles. She's good and she adds diversity to the sport. Both IndyCar and NASCAR need her and she'll get the good equipment until she proves she doesn't justify it.

So far, she's justified it. She's beating a lot of hot shoes, past champions, past winners and others with top equipment.

If you're looking to slam people, start with Jr and many of the others that also have the best equipment and can't find the victory circle either.

Name me the championships and races she's won in NASCAR and Indycar for that matter. Shes won one race in Japan and no others in any form of racing. The green flag drops and she fights her way to the back or mid pack and you'd think that there was no other driver on the track! I don't think she's earned all of that equipment or attention except for the bikini shots! And if you've read some of my other racing discussion you'll find that I don't think Junior is a shoe either.

Remo has a valid and legitimate point .:thumb

I second that. Shall we take it to a vote? Heck, even the smiley waves his left hand!! :w
