I Imagined Mac in his red mountie suite grinning from ear to ear as he burns off 500 miles of tread in the first 50 ft.;LOL

that's funny!
wish I had thought of that to add it in at the time
;LOL

Gee, what'll we do if Mac turns the key and it goes 'click'? :crazy
Just what I need- performance anxiety for something I've never touched or even seen (except virtually, of course). Dang!! Now I won't sleep either!!

So we'll all know who to blame, right guys? ;LOL

I'm not saying anything.

remember Schultz on Hogan's Hero's?
"I know nothin......"
;LOL

besides, I don't think anyone here doubts for a minute that tomorrow will be anything short of a complete sucess for you.

I also envision you up most of the night double checking every electrial connection, distributor position, spark plug wires and coil, carb settings, etc just so it WILL work without fail when Mac turns the key.
:L

Bob and Mac,

Have fun, and lets see if you can lay some good rubber with thoose huge monsters on the back, Mac is ticket proff right :D

Sound like this should be a good time.

All the time, effort and money that went into the project were m-o-r-e than worth it. Why?

1. I rescued a sad '67 big block from wasting away due to my own dis-interest. I was truly one of those owners who covered the car up many years ago and said, "I'll get back to it someday." The difference was that I actually did get back to it. :D

2. This realized my dream of evolving the midyear design in the way I know Zora would have if the C3 hadn't come along when it did. In my humble opinion, this C2 is the C2.5 that is the true link between C2's and C3's.

3. I had the distinct pleasure of working closely on this project with several enthusiastic volunteers, mechanical (Fuelie), body (Kurt), and paint (Ron) experts, and none more dedicated and supportive than my good friend Doug (Z28Canuck) who pretty much moved into my garage for months on end. I'm not sure his wife is still speaking to me. ;) I think one ride in the beast will cure that. :L

4. The wealth of online advice here at CAC makes me wonder how these projects were possible before the ubiquitousness of the Internet. So many of you have offered useful guidance and encouragement that it seems unfair to single anyone out.....but here goes. JohnZ.

Were I hanging by my fingernails over a cliff and choosing the right answer to a Corvette question buys me a lifeline, I'm calling the big guy in Michigan. John, I salute you and thank you for the extreme resource you are to all of us in this hobby. :pat

5. My personal effort forced me to deal with innumerable delays, disappointments and seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Fortunately with the support and encouragement of those around me, and those of you here, we overcame all challenges. I have a clearer understanding of my personality and determination.

Although there are several minor items to complete, this baby is back to life and looking for fresh meat. :mad

;LOL

In all the reports we've been reading about this fabulous restoration, I 've never read anywhere where you actually put in the GAS!...
But seriously now, best of luck and congrats for bringing another BB Beast back to life.
Sorta reminds me of the joke about "What does a 500lb canary say?"..."here, kitty, kitty" and now I have visions of you cruising the northlands mumbling, "Here Viper, Viper."............

Thanks - glad I could contribute something to your neat project; I'm just imagining being in the driver's seat...move over, Mac, we're gonna make some tire smoke! :D

I don't hear anything either, and I was there, OH wait, I'm deaf now....

But I'm gonna let 67Heaven fill you guys in.
But it was really cool..

Since they have left us in suspence...

who wants to guess what happened to Mac and 67Heaven.

My idea, Mac never got the keys, Bob has been driving the heck out of it making up for lost time, Mac is still waiting in the driveway

Anyone else?

We took off for the cottage just moments after the fire-up, with several good friends and CAC members in tow. My wife and I just got home.

Details coming as soon as I can unscramble my thinking. ;LOL

Film at 11.......... ;)

Care to guess who the big guy behind the wheel is? :D
