Dirty automatic shift indicator?

Last year I replaced the peeling center console and really gave the whole interior a good cleaning. The one part I couldn't seem to get "mint" clean was the automatic shift indicator (P, R, N, OD, etc.). There seems to be some "baked in" discoloration near the edges.

Of course, for the past year it's been one of those things I can't stop looking at. I started hunting for a replacement months ago, but I've come up empty. I can't find one on Ebay or at any of the vette catalog stores. Does anyone have any clue where I can find a replacement, or how I can actually clean the original one?

no i haven't,but someone else on the board has and said it work's. that's where i heard of it...
