I've got an 88 coupe with an intermittant door ajar light that seems to happen only when it gets colder. It will be fine for a couple of drives and then it just flickers the next time. It appears to be the driver's door that has the problem. I looked around the knowledgebase but couldn't find exactly how to change one. I tried the old WD-40 trick but it doesn't seem to help much. Is there any adjustment to these or do you just have to replace it? Also where can you get replacements? A quick look at Mid-America's catalog and I didn't see them listed. :confused

Thanks

I don't know about your "88", but the switch can be changed on later models without removing the door panel.

You may be able to gently pull out the center of the switch to see if that corrects the problem.

You can try the Last Detail or Corvette central for the part. If you locate the part let me know & I will send a scan that covers the replacement procedure.:beer

Thanks for the help Rabbit. Between the weather and my travelling I probably won't get to it for a while but I'll take your suggestion about trying to pull it out some. I may be calling on you again if I have to replace it.
