!@#%$*Door just won't open

Read through the forums did a search but I don't think it's my handle, the door just won't open. I't's not locked, I took the inside part of the door off, made sure it wasn't locked, watched the mechanism closely, no luck. Crazy thing is I did the same thing with driver’s side last week and it opened by itself the next day. She's a '74 350 auto, any help to open this thing would be greatly appreciated, thanks.:confused ad ;help

I had this happen and I had to replace the locking mechanism It was not easy getting the door panel off with the door shut.......What a pain

my driver's door had problems opening from the inside. the linkage from the handle to the lock mechanism was adjusted to short. it works good after adjusting out, hope you get it fixed, Brian

Got it!!!

It was (in my case) the spring in latch release mechanism had slipped off its spot; I nudged it back on with a screwdriver. I must say to see this setup for a door latch it must have been made by a masochist, anyway getting your face down that close with the door closed is a good spot for a contortionist. did you look at the prices for new lock mech. too ? They are about $245. I found one on ebay for $50

No, I didn't look yet, but if this happens again, $50 wouldn't be too bad.
