What is DSOM ? Not to sound silly but Ive seen this mentioned in two different threads, one was a direct reference to color but what color?

DSOM is all you need to know. It's incredible. Everyone who has seen my new DSOM vert says it looks awesome.

better enjoy it - gone for 2007 model

BTW - my first Corvette was a '94 red convertible too. Got any pictures to post?

Suits me as that will make it "rare" and you know what "rare" cars are worth. :D

yeah, ask all the 1999 "purple passion" car owners!

I love my DSOM coupe. It is really a shame that it will be a 2 year only color, but that is ok with me because I have mine. I was talking to one of the salesman at Kerbecks when I stopped by on my way to Atlantic City last month and he told me that he heard that Chevy is looking to intoduce a brighter orange in 2007. I love DSOM because it reminds me of a 68 Z/28 that I owned that was Corvette Bronze with black stripes. I am sorry I ever got rid of that 68 Z/28, one awesome car.

New Kid on the block

New Kid here. Actually, I have been a member since 02/2005. I have been quietly reading the threads for the past year. I own a 1967 Chev Camaro RS. 350 cid, 4-speed; Corvette Torch Red.

Tammy S. tried to help me post a picture of the RS, but due to my computer illiteracy I was unable to post. Thank you anyway Tammy; maybe we can try again.

I ordered a Z06 Corvette in November 2005. It was built the last week of January. It was shipped 01/31/2006. It arrived at the dealer on 02/16. It is BEAUTIFUL! Today, I handed the local Chevrolet/Cadilac dealer a cashier's check for my 2006 C-6 Z06. It will sit on the showroom floor for a while because the ice is extremely slick at this time and the roads are covered with gravel (for traction).

Specifications: C-6 Z06 with 2LZ package. Front License Plate Mounting Package (no intention of mounting it), polished 10 spoke wheels. No navigation system. I am a pilot; so if I get lost then I deserved it.

Oh yes. Victory Red! It is gorgeous.

It is sitting next to a Le Mans Blue 2006 C-6 with dark painted wheels at the dealership. It makes for a good comparison!

I am sooooooooo excited!!! I just had to tell someone!

p.s. I bought it for my wife! (yah, right!)

Congratulations! You are going to love it--even more when you get to know it better. I'm at 490 miles on the handbuilt engine, so will be doing a little more aggressive testing this next week. Enjoy!
