After I bought my '90 coupe, I found that somebody had removed the spare tire (perfect). Is the factory spare tire on a steel rim. What is the size? Thanks.

I have an 86 coupe and the spare is mounted on an aluminum rim. From what I have read over the years the aluminum rim came with the sport seat option and a steel rim came with the standard seat option. Sport seat option also got you aluminum driveshaft and halfshafts. The aluminum was used to make up for the extra weight of the sport seat option. Don't know if this applies to your year but could be possible.

I'd be ad . I guess thats a warning to all of us, if you buy pre-owned, CHECK EVERYTHING!

Its most likely just a donut…but it is part of the rear collision safety system
