Gang,

Recently, I purchased a brand new ignition module plus a full set of ignition coils complete with their mounting base (the plastic thing the coils attach to and the metal piece that attaches the assembly to the engine) for $450 including shipping.

I kinda think I did ok since the module itself retails for over $800.

Was that a fair price (hell of a time to ask, eh?)

Years ago I got into the habit of stocking up on parts when I found them at good prices. Thus far I have 2 water pumps, an ECM, complete set of engine gaskets, secondary system vacumm stuff, a/c compressor, tire pressure bands (for the LTPW system).

How about anyone else- are you stocking up on parts?

Dan

If its worth 800 and you only paid 450...you get it, and it works...sounds like a great deal to me. :upthumbs

As far as stocking up on parts...the only ones I stock up on is the old ones I remove. :mad

Dan,

I have a small stash of ZR-1 parts in storage. I collected most of them back in '94-'95 while the ZR-1 was still in production. I think I paid about $60 for a set of original LT5 red plug wires. :)

The coil packs and DIS Module are still available from GM.

The DIS Module 1103841 can be purchased for $495 plus shipping from any GM dealer.
