I also noticed the even rarer factory alarm and factory locking gas cap.

The guy didn't sign his name

Noticed that the guy forgot his name: U.B. Skrewd

You know the old saying buyer beware. When I was looking for a car I did not do my do-dilagence in learning about the car.I had money burning a hole in my pocket.I was actually looking for a 1966 high hourse power tri power with auto and a/c.Luckely I did not find one and I actually learned more from the different sellers I met about the cars.

They were the one who suggested I join the N.C.R.S to get an education. One of the fellow spent over 2 hours with his car showing me how to tell a Big Block from a small block, how to tell if repair were done to the fiberglass.

If I did not know better I would belive this ebay seller that all of his componets were factory installed, He may just beleve they are.

I never know if I should be mad at someone like that for making up a load of BS or sad that they know so little about a car that they are trying to sale.

The guy had a zero (0) rating on ebay

If you notice the guy has a zero rating on ebay. That, to me, means he probably has never bought anything on it. So being the good guy that I am, I sent him an email saying that side pipes, alarms, and locking gas caps didn't come with this year.
And if it did come with this year, it has got to be the rarest of all Corvette ever made! If any of you are thinking about buying this car, please let me know. I can get you a similar optioned 1964 Vette for $1000.00 less. ;)
I promise...:L (it'll be ready 2 weeks after the payment is received)
(Cash only!) :D

I like this part "You may see other auctions for convertibles of the same year, but how many are Stingrays?" :)

How do you like that factory plastic master cylinder cap.....and the wrong valve covers, and the missing shielding...., etc..... Sheesh.....

Wow, I guess my car is one of the "rare" ones also since I have "factory" sidepipes on it too. (Factory made, home garage installed).

Is it just me or does this car look a little too fresh to be untouched for the last 20 years?

I like the "this car was built without seat belts" answer;LOL, with the (1965) seat belt buckle retainer on it. This car is a mish-mash - can't believe 35 bids so far on a car with no numbers, no details, no trim tag information, no nothing. P.T. Barnum was right.... :eyerole

This should get the guy going

I just sent the seller the following:
"I just think you should clarify to all the buyers that: 1964 never had factory sidepipes, no factory alarm, no factory locking gas cap, and that seatbeats were installed in every Corvette and that yours are missing. Also clarify that all 1964 Corvettes are Stingrays. That the Valve cover are wrong and that it has the wrong master cylinder cover. Just wanted to make sure the honest info gets to the buyer. I will also be sending this info to all the buyer who have already bidded. Thanks."
This should make his day. :eyerole

The Sellers answer....

I'd like to hear his answer...if that happens.
Here's his answer...
"Go ahead and send it, then send everyone to look at the car. I'm only listing the information that was given to me, its not my car. I can tell you however that some vettes had sidepipes, and that the valve covers are the same that I've seen on other 64's. So why don't you worry about your mopars, instead of me."
The mopar comment is because of my Ebay name. Yes, I know, I have just admitted a sin...:(

Famous disclaimer: "it's not my car." :L "I'm just stating what I was told." :L
