Question: Finally finished my spring project !

(You can only take so much 'Shale') But the upper sections at first glance are gray plastic, but upon closer view, you'll see it's not gray it's more of a Brown/Gray mix. So I swapped out the shifter boots for the E-brake, Shifter & Grab-bar on the dash. Then the armrests went and I added some door handle grips with two from Vette Essentials, a truly great vendor. And finally I had the rear console and the front switch trim panel re-finished as well. What do you think ?

Thank you both, This took since April, but it was done so well by the shop in Texas, the wait was worth the wait. I've tried to do only so much so it isn't overkill. The 50th. Anniversary model is different than the stock interior but not by much. So I had to work on one area at a time, the shift & E-brake boots. And then I worked on the doors, then I did the Cyberdine graphics 50th package, and finally the rear console in Medium Burl-wood. The shop did great job and it's finished in four coats of clear.

And while I waited, I bought a full set of Apsis old style splash guards, painted them & installed them. I think they came out pretty good. But the credit goes to my friend who owns a bodyshop and he has done a lot of work for me over the years and he really helpped me with the splash guards.

Well i only added a tiny amount , my thinking like yours was don't go too far. I think if you rode in my car you'd see the color reconfiguration is not overwhelming. Just like all the mods I've done, only so much and don't go crazy with it. On the other hand I've seen guys who have a Torch Red cars and interior is Torch Red and when you lift the hood, surprise It's Torch Red. I really don't like Torch Red as it's damn near to keep clean and takes a expert to keep a glossy shine on it. It's almost like being painted in Torch Red enamel.

Everybody's got different tastes, that's what life is all about !

I think you did a great job and the wood is really beautiful. I can appreciate the craftsmanship.
Peesonally I think there is a place for Carbon Fiber, Wood, and even Aluminum. Depends what you want your car to reflect. I like the wood in the Anniversary model, carbon fiber in the Z06. I think the fact that the Corvette lends itself to several types of mods is one of the appeals of the car. Does the place that did the work sell this as a package and do they sell the carbon fiber package also? There probably is a market for this, though it would probably be costly.
