Flushing my system

I just bought a 94 and I was going to flush the cooling system any suggestions on how to go about this so I do a good job?
also any suggestions on what coolant to use for max. cooling or any additives to use?
How about what temp. thermostat should I use? And any other advise or suggestions anyone might have? I'm all ears.

I don't think any additives are necessary. As for brand, I don't think that matters because coolant is coolant, they probably all come from the same plant. Home Depot recently had a clearance for $2.00 a gallon, I ended up buying 10 gallons. Couldn't pass up on a deal like that.

Since you're in Texas where it gets considerably hotter than me in IL, maybe a 180 degree stat would do good?
