Hey guys,

Just pulled out the clutch today, and noticed that the previous owner only replaced the clutch disk (Sachs pressure pad and a LuK disc) :ugh Needless to say I just ordered a new LuK repset clutch kit and now need a flywheel, its got some pitting from I assume to last disk going to the rivets and its been heated up pretty good.... I could resurface it. but why? I've been crawling the net and its almost impossible to buy anything but a lightweight aluminum replacement from a reputable place. I am actually trying to return the car to stock, and dont' really have any interest (right now) in upgrading. I'm in Canada and that makes it even tougher, I checked the Carolina Clutches site, and i'm pretty sure they have the wrong clutch listed because its being cross referenced with the 5.0L Camaro's and Birds.

What can i cross reference this flywheel with? What are the correct dimensions.. etc. I found one on ebay, but I want to be 100% sure its the correct one.

Factory Part # 14088646
Hollander # 409-783
153 Teeth, 12 Pitch, 12.75 O.D.
5.0L & 5.7L V8 Engines

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great links. Thanks. How much of a difference is there between re-surfacing my original flywheel, and buying the $75 aftermarket one?

Or, should i just go with the original GM one?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
