Finally, a day in FL without rain and with the vette all cleaned up, thought I would get some nice shots with the digital. Like the camera, but when the sun hits the paint just right the camera thinks it's orange. Oh well.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Now I have to update my avatar and profile. :D

Hey tried to Email you but you have a block on that option. I was wondering if you are a member of Space Coast Corvettes. I use to live in Melbourne up to 5 years ago.

I was a member and thought it was a fun club to be in. The people there were fantastic and very knowledgeable on the corvette.

While in the club I led a parade with my Red 69 Bigblock (lesson learned, not to do again) motor did not like running at idle for long periods of time.

I've only had the car for a few weeks. I have checked thier web page out and have seriously thought about contacting them. Thanks for the info on the quality of the membership. Also, while the email address is hidden, the PM option is available.

The NERVE of that neon!

Getting in the way of your shot!

Those are seat covers correct?

Nice pics!

I know what you mean about the rain, but despite the onslot of the wet stuff, our water tables are still low.

Seems like this was the first weekend in a couple of months that the sky did not open up at least once (but it is only 3:00---)

I would love to see the same pics at sunset with the beautiful big bright orange ball of the sun setting in the back ground over the waters.

On the east coast side here I can watch it rise, but don't have those Kodak moment sunsets like you guys do.

Chris, Melbourne is on the east coast as well. We are just south of Cocoa. I agree that a sunset would be nice, but I also will have to settle for a sunrise. But I don't get up early enough for that. ;)

And the Neon wasn't intentional. Seems the digital takes a larger shot than the viewfinder shows. It's better than missing the shot though. I may rescale the shots and crop the Neon out.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant for our other west coast guys. I have been looking at some really cool pics at www.vetteweb.com (Vette Magazine), and a few nice west coast pics at sunset.

Then again, we could take some sunrise pics and just say it was sunset;)

Was talking to Sharkcar71 last night. He knows a fellow that is a specialist in digital media and photography. The fellow would like to use Sharkcar71's vert for some nice custom pics.

The same guy was doing some work for the local Corvette club. He said they were making poster size professional pictures of these cars.

I think your pictures are good enough to blow up poster size.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice car Gorgon. Is that the Eau Gallie bridge back there? I used to lived in Melbourne back in 85 for a short time.

Chris, understand now. ;) I was actually thinking the same thing when I read your first message about taking pics at sunrise and calling it a sunset. The only time I've been up early enough to see a sunrise is when I sleep on the boat. :D

And yes, that is the Eau Gallie causeway in the background. For those that know the Melbourne area, the first set of pics were taken at Ballard Park. The pics in the grass were taken at the bottom of the eastern side of the Melbourne causeway. They didn't come out as nice as the ones at Ballard.

The camera I have is a 2MP camera. If I wanted to do poster size shots I would need a much higher resolution camera. But the pictures on the web site are scaled down to 1024x768. The originals are 1600x1200. Nice huge shots. ;)

Vig, yes they are seat covers. Came with the car and decided to keep them on.

Nice ride! BTW, why don't you guys send us some of your rain:D.
