Still looking for a Corvette
Hi, I thinking about buying a 1994 vette with 74000 miles. Should I be concerned if the injectors have not been replaces?

No,there are allot of them out there with 130,000 miles plus that hasn't had the injectors replaced!!:thumb

I'd say only if you notice a lot of rough idling at normal operating temperature when you test drive it. I bought an '89 with 72,000 that had original injectors. Within a month it started having problems. I had the injectors tested and they were all way below specs. If you are concerned, ask the seller if you can take it to have the injectors tested. That way you will know for sure. I wish I had done that. It would have saved me a lot of time and money.

It is true that there are engines out there with 100,000+ mi. on the OE injectors but it's also true that there are cars which (admittedly, rare) go only 25,000 miles on a set of injectors.

I wouldn't worry about the engine's injectors unless, on a road test, you find that the engine's idle is unstable or rough or the car is hard starting after a short period of engine off time.

If either of those problems are present, I'd ask the seller if you can take the car to a service facility for a check-out before you buy.

Thanks

Thanks for all your advice. I will pay attentions to the idling during the test drive.
