At the "Still Cruisin" Corvette Cruise in, a few of the Callaway Owners were joined by many folks from the :CAC in a great day of C'Vettes :cool

We got there early and then started with an awesome lunch - By the time lunch was done, the lot was quickly filling up - over 300 Vettes, then they stopped counting :eek

Mark, Thanks for driving down from PA :eek
Turbo Joe - The car looks GREAT w/ the Dymags back on :cool
Fellow :CAC folks - What a show :m

here are some more pics - Aurora40, you missed when FXGS & Magic Dragon roared and raced out of the show - full tilt boogie :eek:Steer
I missed nothing!!! Who do you think that guy is with the camera around his neck, talking to Joe? :D That's me and my wife!

I was standing right there out on the road watching that sweet silver machine rocket up the street! It sounded incredible! I have to say, the GS just kinda sounded loud, not so much good to my ear. But everyone likes something different! :w

I'll post up the picts I took. Chris, I was gonna stop and talk, but you always seemed in the middle of conversations and I didn't want to interrupt you. I'm sure we'll get to chat at Carlisle! Joe was telling me a ton about the B2K, and seeing them up close in person was extremely informative, not to mention impressive. Hey, did you see (or hear) a really, really clean dark red Aurora driving out shortly after they left? I tried my best to give the Aurora a good name for exiting a car show. I even wiggled the wheel a little to simulate rear end squirm ;) While it doesn't sound like a megaphoned twin-turbo Corvette, it does sound pretty good at full-tilt. :)

And last but not least

Man, I love this car!! Red, aerobody, dymags... :eek

Sorry FX GS, I didn't really get any pictures of your car. :o I love the way Grand Sports look, though! I actually didn't realize at first yours was a Callaway. That engine bay is pretty sweet looking!

I didn't realize that was you - you SHOULD have introduced yourself!
Joe is a great guy - and his car is so clean :eek
I did see the dark red Olds "wiggle" down the road - see ya at Carlisle :w

It's a little beyond me how there is a meeting but the general membership is never informed ahead of time? :confused

Eric, I am sorry you didn't know about it - It was a posted event here on the calendar:(which shows up on the front page of this site) http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2004-8-7&c=1and also under Mid-Atlantic events: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50604
and in this thread, there was a mention: (see post#11) http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53474&page=1&pp=15

Although it was rather informal, it was nice to have some folks there w/ their Callaways - My daughter said Eric called about the car show yesterday morning, I thought it was you however, I do not have your tel #, otherwise I would have called - it turned out to be a different Eric that called the house.

FXGS said he will be back there next year, Turbo Joe will too I am sure - we'll save a spot :m
