The only down side that I can think of is that the correct sized tires are more expensive for the Z06 sized wheels, and the possibility that all season tires may not be available in the Z06 sizes if you drive the vehicle under 40-45*F. If you install the 245 front and 275 rear wide tires (which are available in A/S) on the 1" wider Z06 wheels, the sidewalls of the tires bow out a little and don't look symmetrical on the wheels. I have Z06 replica wheels with standard widths (1" less than Z06 spec's) on my vehicle for the tire size and A/S availability. :)

Zo6 rims

I have been looking to do that also, would get the replica wheels tires from my 2001 C5 will fit the correct width of those and not original ZO6 wheels they are a little wider then mine.

I would like to add that it should not adversely affect your non Z06 car to run Z06 sized wheels/tires. The speedometer might be off a little as the 275/40 will be about 1/2" (13.5mm)taller than the 295/35. But an important thing to remember is the difference in tire diameters from front to rear. This is important for the nanny systems to control the vehicle.

Hopefully C4C5specialist or Hib will jump in here and explain this better.

I had Michelin tires on Z06 rims on my '04 Vert and ALL was good. I went in with my handheld tuner and changed the tire diameters and it ran like a factory set up.
