Looking for good body shop in So. Cal

I recently purchased at 62 Vette. It appears that sometime in it's prior life, someone put a "non-standard" hardtop on the car. As a result, I have some holes in the deck lid that need to be filled it. Can anyone recommend a good (and reasonably priced) fiberglass and Corvette paint shop in the LA/Orange County area?

I merged them into one post Hal.



As for shops in the area, I can recommend several:

1. J&D Corvette in Bellflower is a well-known and respected member of the Corvette business world.
2. A-1 Quality Auto - Jimmy Tanimura, a fellow member of The Vette Set, did mine after I crashed it in '95.
3. Performance Paint in Torrance has gained a reputation for doing the highest quality paint in Southern California, but Gary doesn't come cheap.
4. Personally, I would use The Fiberglass Body in Hawthorne for any future body work. Scott Kenning has been in business for over twenty-five years and also has built a solid reputation in the Corvette repair business. If you tell either Scott, or Jimmy at A-1, that I sent you it might help you get a break on the cost.
