I finally recieved the nitrous kit today and went straight to work installing it.
It's the "Zex" brand so theres no "niods" to mess with, with this kit,
I dont have the right jet's for my application so I just installed the main set up, bottle line and box, the wiring to the activation switch and to the TPS will be done in the next few day's, and on Mon. or Tues. at the latest, the jet's and other small hard ware will arrive, then I'll finish conecting the line to the air intake and the vacume hose's to the fuel presure regulator and to the plenum will be done, all there will be to do last will be to get the bottle filled up!!!!!!!

Mahalo (thank you) "dburgjohn" Man, you just dont know the half of it! for some reason, I seem to get bored and down on my car quite often, it's very hard to explain, it just hit's me when I come out in the morning some times and see this plain ole car sitting there, and I get a little fustrated at the way it looks and run's, I guess the best way to explain it is like having an eating disorder, thinking that my body is one way when in reality, I'm actually the oposite from as I'm seeing myself.....does that make any sense to you?
I think a all of us have a little bit of this going on within them selve's, some react to it, and others dont give into the urge.;)

I can't open the links????

Me addicted to car mods???

You must be kidding!!!! This is not an addiction..it is a way of life! There is nothing better than adding your own personal touch to your ride :L

Try clicking on again "69MyWay", hopefully you'll be able to get the pictures, I've been having problems with this forum and my picture host, not sure why.

Chris,

I don't know if you are a great photographer or you have the most beautiful shark I've ever seen! (or both ):L

Da Hawaiian,

I know for your posts that the track over there it's not one of the best, but would you mind posting your ETs as soon as you get the bottle filled up and running???

BTW ¿Could it be... tomorrow? :Steer :D :w

Not that soon, I'm still waiting for the rest of my pieces to my system to arrive from the "zex" company, like my jet's and one other small piece.
Then I'll finish hooking up the rest of the stuff like the vacum hoses from the "Zex" box to the regulator and plenum, the wiring to the "TPS", and the spray nozzle into my specially made, highly safisticated air bridge that I my self made that I call.............T.C.A.I.S or.......... "traffic cone air induction system":J
I'll be sure to get to all who's intrested the run numbers from the track when I do go.......................and if they're not to embarrasing to show all of you.;)

Pics open now.

Man...I like it!

George, no photo shop on the car except the background, and I am better at body work than taking spectacular photos.

Can't wait for the track results!!!!!!!

Punch,

i'm interested in this project too!

what shot are you gonna run?

are you gonna launch it on juice or above 3000 rpm 1st or when you hit 2nd gear?

do you run DR's or lower pressure in your tires? what brand and size? what is your best 60' so far?

thanks bro i know these are alot of questions but i'm curious ;)

I'm running a 75 shot for now till I get used to the set up, then I'll go with the 100 shot, no higher..............................for a while anyway.:D
It'll kick in at full throttle which usually means at this track, when I hit 2nd gear, though, it would attivate near the end of 1st if I wanted it too, but till I get used to it as I stated above, I'll switch it on when I hit 2nd gear which by then, I should be at full throttle.
My 60 ft times, sucks rotten egg's, it averages around 2.2's some where around there, my best 60ft is 2.1's with street tires at lowered presure to about 27 - 30 lbs depending on the track and night that we happen to be racing.
I have the "Kumho ecsta MX" the normal stock size on the back. (275-40-18's) they grip like a sun of a gun my freind...............of course you wouldnt know it by my 60 ft times which believe it or not, is considered pretty good for stock tires on our track here..........................then again........... you guy's there on the "mainland" could probebly get better 60 ft time's on a sheet of ice during your winter.:L

Mad Mic,

¿Are you thinking what I'm thinking you're thinking? ;)

Remember that you're almost in the 12s and just about to make history with your vette as is now and I'm almost certain that you could do it with your new headers and the ring & pinion change. :upthumbs I know, I know. You don't want to make this mod right now, but you could think about it if everything else fails! ;shrug

See you!

George

hehehe George no i'm not thinking ring and pinion change but i am thinking ;) headers were suppose to go in last sunday but the welder from a few shops over didn't get a change to do alittle touch up for me on them so hopefully next sunday as i'll be putting a motor and trans back into my friends 91 Trans Am and i might do it then but saturday is last day at one of the better tracks locally. Capitol might stay open alittle longer but i might take her out to Atco NJ. they will be open all year depending on weather. :D

thinking how durable the stock gears in a D36 will be. i won't change gears in this car unless i break the D36 then i'll get a D44 with no lower than the 3.07 maybe just maybe a 3.54 but i like the high end pull :D

i'm really just interested how the rear will hold up cause once i do the cam and other stuff late winter i am thinking on putting a shot on her also. i got a feeling once i'm done with the upper rebuild she'll run easy 12.20's on the 2.59 gear :) i'm really thinking on just pulling the motor and doing new bearings and a set of forged flat tops so i can bump the compression some and be safe on a 150 pill :D

if she blows though i can always get 4 bolt mains for dirt cheap ( around $125 per block ) and i'll do a 396 combo :) ( 400 crank 350 block bored 60 over )

Punch,

i lower my street tires to 18 psi and they seem to work really good for me. i've only spun them over twice off the line out of about 60 runs. not too bad :) torque curve don't hit till around 2800 rpm and with stock stall and that tall @ss gear (2.59's) i'm already moving before she'll spin over. if i'm on the street i can creep off a light at about 5 mph and she'll pull for a split second then spin'em up pretty good once she gets pasted 2800 rpm unless i stall it or dead romp it ;)

oh BTW my friends (tpivette89) his brother has a 91 and he ran a 75 shot on it. at the time it ran i think 13.7's N/A and 12.8's on a 75 shot :)

i never played with juice on my own ride and i know it's addicting :D

Yep,

I already knew that :D and I'm curious too about the D36, remember that I have it too in my vette (with the 3.54) but I've told you before IT FEELS SO GOOD (the 3.54 swap) that I know you're gona love it! Anyway, you're gona love (and feel)the headers mod!

Just remember to post your ETs;)

Da Hawaiian,

I've been with the nitrous temptation from some time now, but I'll go first for the Hot cam kit for my LT1. If I do the shot thing I will need a 40 gallons bottle!!! (I have one of those... addictive personalityes) :L
