I took my vette to the muffler shop today .both inlet tubes had broke the weld and pulled out of the muffler,$450 for new mufflers! i asked him if he could weld the tubes back in and he said no.took the car to another shop{rainbow muffler cleveland oh}the guy not only welds them all the way around but puts a double weld on them!!replaces a clamp and a hanger and then charges me $20......

GREAT NEWS, most muffler places "midas" etc dont go to that high of an extreem customer relationship, As they say "If your happy then your "In there"

broken weld as well

kinda had the same thing happen at inspection time but was not as happy
the rear y-pipe was split right at the flange and noone seemed to want to
do anything but get me a new y-pipe for 178.00-219.00. it would have taken
longer to get my hood and leathers on than to weld it up while on a lift
i had to go home pull it off take it into work with me and tig it up nice
and add alittle more for peace of mind. it is terrible how so few shops out
there are willing to give alittle more to there customers these days...

how do they put it now (its all about the benjamins)

oh yeah. failed me on the inspection and would give me a sticker after
taken the car back to them after fixin itwith in 4hrs........
