Has GM changed synthetic oil requirement 4718M to 6094 on newer Vettes? Or still the same?

The reason I'm asking is that I noticed that on some Syn oils they are using a GM code '6094'(?) and showing 'performance'. I was wondering if GM is dropping the 4718M code to a newer code for their newer Vettes. Or is 4718M still good for newer Vettes? I also have a Solstice, which requires 6094, but not necessarily a synthetic requirement. Maybe someone here has a newer Vette that may help or one of you tech guys. thanks,

HI there,

To be clear, GM 6094 is a LOWER quality specification than the 4718M.

4718m IS still THE CORRECT specification for the engine oil in all Corvette from 92 LT1 and up, 93 LT5 and up to current date.

6094 was introduced as a lesser oil for other vehicles other than Corvette, pourpoint was the biggest difference.

Allthebest, Paul
