Come on! Let's hear it? What have you named your Vette? Is your Vette a he or a she?

Quicksilver - female

Remo:cool

Mine is a 'she'

No name though. Call all the females in your life 'honey', you'll stay out of trouble that way.

You mean all cars aren't girls?

Richard.

Female: Twilight.
Because just after sun set, the road cools off and she gets a little more umph. And it is just before I need to turn on the headlights and I can still see at speed.

. . . a friend of mine named her '02 Z06 Austin. . .

All Mine have been. I don't know if all cars are girls. It will be interesting to hear from some women Vette owners.

At first, I was going to name my Z06 "Christine." I mean, she's a very intimidating car. It always startles me the way she does things like automatically cinch my seatbelt when I accelerate pretty hard- it's like she's got a mind of her own sometimes.

But, when several months went by, and none of my friends had been mysteriously run-over, I came to realize that "Christine" was not the right name for her. She's actually very well mannered, even when guys in rice-mobiles and mustangs try (unsuccessfully) to challenge her honor. She's perfectly capable of defending herself from these cads, and she just does it with style.

So, I gave the name thing some thought. I have named her "Yvette."

I used to call her "the Nuclear Banana" (with a tip of the hat to racer Eddy Hill) but it doesn't seem dignified enough for the lady so I'm still searching for a better name. My wife calls her "AM-FM" as in All My F Money. She has a point.

does "car" or "Vette" count? :D

As for gender, aren't all mechanical items female? :)

My 1960 corvette is named "ashley".
It had a fuel injection fire once and turned the front end to "Ashes".
Her body is all better now and I hope to have her back on the road
in a few more years. The fire happened in 1973, it is about time she
returns to her former glory!

The 03 AE is called - "Icon" and is usually referred to as 'she'.
David Hill provided the name for it when he autographed it with the phrase - "50 years as America's performance icon."

The 92 has a couple of names - "Tuna Sport" or "The Beast." These probably are male but we never refer to it as "he".
Compared to our 03, the 92 is a beast and since I customized it with a reverse Grand Sport paint scheme and LT4+ power, a friend called it the "Tuna Sport". That's starting to sound pretty good.

It's gotta be " She " because if it's got T--s or tires it's gonna give you trouble :D :beer

my sig says it all - 1963 is LADY and 2001 is BEAUTY - both Z06's

My Grand Sport is a "she"...she is sleek, sexy, quick, and her name is "The Diva", hence my screen name!;) Our '02, on the other hand, is a "he"...the "Big Guy"...for no other reason than The Diva needed a boy garage-mate!:L

Elaine,
Are you trying to create a litter in your garage? If so, let us know how the mating of a GS-C4 and a C5 works out. We interested Corvette fans could end up saving a fortune on purchasing new ones if we could just put our C5's out to stud!
;LOL

Mines name is Princesse, I treat her like royalty. But when i was putting the new 361 in i mostly refferd to her as you mother f***** or you Son of a B*&#$

but all n all she gets the best waxes and premium gas and royal purple oil :)

Odd, my cars usually get female names, my scoots (H-D) get more masculine names. We were discussing this the other day and some acquaintances were relieved to hear I also name my cars. I stopped them cold when I said I celebrate their birthdays too (day of delivery). Last year my Beretta GTZ had its car-mitzvah! BTW, the Corvette is "Mel".
