I have a 67 coupe. Headliner has come loose and needs to be reglued. Note in the assembly manual that an adhesive (part number 3829300) is used. No information about it. Since I have a Survivor, want to reinstall headliner correctly. Anyone know anything about installing the headliner? It attaches to a foam pad, concerned about using wrong adhesive.
Thanks.....

Mike,
I think that when you remove the headliner you will find that the foam inner liner has deteriorated to the point of the separation.

Some owners have expressed that they have had good results with replacing the foam and the reattaching the outer liner. Others recommend replacing both as a unit.

Either way, I recommend using Scotch "Super Trim Adhesive" in a spray can. Its used like contact cement, spray both pieces and when tacky put them together. But you only get one try...there is no adjusting.
