Hi, i want to remove the cooling fan & clutch assy. took the 4 nuts off the studs/bolts that come thru the back side of the pully but it still wont
budge even after rapping it with a hammer & chisel.what next? am i
missing something? Thanks:beer

It's just rusted on the shaft. Put some PB Blaster on it and let it sit overnight or for an hour or so. It should come off fairly easily once you break the rust loose. Tap evenly all around the backside of the pulley to dislodge it.

Hey Steel Blue 75, I'm not sure if you have these in the States, but we have a tool called an impact driver. Basically like a cross between a screwdriver/socket wrench but is operated by hitting the rear of the tool with a ball pien hammer or similar :bang. Has the result of double action, torque for to tighten or loosen bolts, nuts & screws and also the impact to keep the tool from slipping on the offending object. I agree with the previous list though, allow to soak in CRC DW40 or Pentrating Oil overnight first, saves the blood vessel from popping. :hb

Cheers :beer Kiwi Vette.
