spoke of each rim. need to get some low res pics so i can post here.

:upthumbs I went in there and looked at all your pic's, but nothing really shows off the wheels and brakes :confused Love that color :_rock

You must have just gotten the wheels and stuff recently. Wasn't trying to hijack your thread, just the way it flowed. Let's see some tighter side pic's ;)

Vettefan, damned if I know, the rest are still on there until I can consult a body shop :crazy

have to get some realy good closeups of the wheels. thought i had some but only with the dingy old rotors and calipers. you can kinda make em out in one of the pics but i will get some good tight shots

Ya, I saw the upper corner of a calliper on the L front I think, but that wasn't even intentional in the photo I don't think.

Very nice. Looks like a new car! Guy

Yes my car could probably use some paint but for now I guess I will just give it a little more TLC since its my daily driver and cant afford to paint it right now, but very nice paint, I love the emblems.

The gold emblems were the first thing I noticed after that mirror finish on paint! Very kool! :cool

Subtle accent for me :)
Moonunit,
What kind of rims are those? Did they come with the C-4 logo or was that a decal you had to put on?
I'm trying to find some rims that come with the c-4 logo like the factory ones, but am having trouble finding someone who makes them.

I was quoted $4K by Maaco just to sand and shoot it.
OMG! For 4 large, I could find a lot better paint guy than MAACO!

Perty outcome, PLUM. Gorgeous! Looks like U got UR money's worth! :w

thanks whalePirot,
good enough for a first place in the mod vette class and a best of show trophy at
a car show we went to on sunday.gonna have to start throwin on the chrome
underhood goodies so i dont have to share first with the same 2000 vette
for a third time.but you know what, its not bad having a 19 yr old car judged to
be just as good as a 4 yr old one.lol

What a beauty ! Looks like she got LOTS of TLC ! :)

I found an '87for $9,000.00 (with 128 K on her) that I fell in love with, but she has been abused and looks like she is in desperate need of TLC. Hmmm. . .

thanks sweet04,

picked ours up last november for get this 6,500 with 101,000 miles.
it has all new carpet new door panels and not sure but think new seat
covers as well if not they are in excellent condition. the engine runs
strong real strong valve seals puff a little on start up but hey it has
over 100k on it.stopped by the dealer where we got it three weeks ago
to look at a 72 he has sitting on the lot and his and his jaw hit the ground
cant blame him we all but stole her for 6,500.

I'm sure that dealer is still talking about you! ;) You really got a sweet deal, huh?
I really want to move ahead with this '87, but my husband would have me committed ! (He's just now getting over my splurge with the '04.) I'd need a lot of help with '87, as I'm not sure what I'm getting into. I wonder about the price, mileage, etc. Any thoughts ? Good, bad, or otherwise. All advice is welcome.

Enjoy your beautiful ride ! I'll bet heads turn everywhere you go !

Susan

blue book on ours was 6,100 but for the shape we couldnt go wrong.
here is the whole story i saw the car on ebay one day and said damn
i saw that car lot before here it was a half hour away. when i got
there he had 7,995 written on the window so we dickered a while
and he wouldnt budge so i said now listen i go home and bid it for your
reserve or we can do this right now. he kinda dropped his head and said
ok i will take 6,500 right now no trade so we jumped on it. and thats how
we made out so good. not sure what the book is for an 87 but shouldnt be
far off.good luck and hope the hubby comes around

Dang Plum! You made out like a bandit ! GOOD FOR YOU ! ! :upthumbs Thanks for the advice. As for the hubby. . .he has no choice :D . I work hard and it's my turn for my passion (although he's the one with the connections. . . ).
