Here's a stumper for ya

These are all great suggestions.... I'm not burning any oil in this car; I never have to add a drop between oil changes, nor does the car use any water whatsoever so I don't think it is that problem. I do know that the heads have ALOT of miles on them - I did nothing to the heads when I put them back on the motor after "refreshing" the motor slightly. My guess is the valve seats are going (as suggested here) or bad valve springs or something of this nature. This is just a recent phenomenon - the car up to this point probably runs smoother than any other car I own! As soon as I get a free moment (not for a couple of weeks) I'll pull her apart and will certainly post what I find!!
