Hey Pete...exhaust question..

Do your mufflers give you resonance? Thats the thing I most scared of modifing on my car. I DO NOT want a loud car on the highway.

Pete and I have the same mufflers. The configuration ahead of the mufflers is different though. I've got a single 3" pipe down the middle and I think he has twin 2.5" pipes with an x-pipe. I can tell you I have no resonance whatsoever. In fact, I took my girlfriend for her first ride the other night and she commented on how quiet the car actually is which surprised her. Those turbos really keep the noise down even with a straight through muffler. You could probably run no mufflers and still not be real loud.

I know you asked Pete so he can answer for himself but I just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents since we have the same mufflers.

I appreciate it Kevin, I forgot you had those mufflers on your car too. Id like to get the Power effects system if I get a catback. Im just glad to hear Im not going to go deaf.

Best of both worlds

I just had the new cat-back system bolted on the '96 this morning. It sounds fantastic at idle and looks scary with the twin tips.

Pulling out is so different from stock- It just rumbles the sound a vette is supposed to make. The pipes are completely straight through.

At 35 they just go silent. I don't see how it could. When you punch it they sound a tiny bit louder than stock inside but proclaim Corvette out the back.

They do everything as advertised, only better!

Ive thought of Corsa on my car, but its only 2.5" pipe. I really want a full 3" system. PE is 2.75" but being adjustable is a bonus.

Exhaust

Hi Josh I do not have any resonance with the exhaust. It is definately louder than stock. I have a 2.5 stainless full dual exhaust with an X pipe . Very nice sounding. Hey Josh are you going to Carlilse.We need all the owners there. I hope you can make it.

Not sure if Im gonna make it yet. Ive been in communication with Chris about it. Its going to be a last minute, throw some crap in a bag and leave situation. Plus due to a small snafu at Norris Motorsports my injectors aren't going to be back in time for my car to make the show. If I come I'll be rolling my mean green Honda civic

HOPEFULLY, I'll know early enough next week. Its an involved work situation.....but at it looks now, doubtful
