Hey all! My name is Adam and I just joined the site. Looks like a real cool place. I don't own a Vette right now but I am looking at getting one soon. I collect diecast cars and I have several diecast 1/18 Corvettes (hence my screen name). So glad to be here and thanks for having me!

Welcome one18Vette,

You're going to like it here! What Corvette are you leaning toward buying? Oh, so many choices! :D

I was just in Nashville for a visit a few days ago. Do you live anywhere near there?

Hey Elaine! I'm looking at getting a C5 but by the time it will be possible for me to buy one I may get a C6. Those are my two favorite Vettes. I like all Vettes... but the C5-C6 are my favorites.

I live in Kingsport/Bristol.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy !!!! :beer

Welcome Adam, glad to have you aboard. There is a Vette out there somewhere with your name on it I a'm sure. I see you live in Kingsport, TN isn't that in Cocke County? I was thinking that Newport :confused was around this same area but not sure; I've been in and thorugh that area quite a bit in the past. Not too far from the Smokey Mountain area if I remember right.

Stay in touch, and never give up until you have that Vette in your pocesssion.

Bill :)

Yeah, I love this area. Kingsport is in Sullivan County. I live in Kingsport and work in Bristol. I work the race every year as well. Yeah, I would love to get one soon but it may take a while. Nonetheless I will own a Vette. I looked at a black on black 05 this morning. Payment was out of my range though. So, I continue looking. Thanks for the welcome!

I love the track at Bristol, love to go to a race there one of these days. I am an avid NASCAR fan, never miss a race. I am sure you will find you Vette one of these days and when you do you will know it was mean to be. I sure do love the country there in TN.

Take care, happy hunting and stay in touch,
Bill :beer

I love the TN area :cool as well, love to go to Bristol Race Track one of these days; I am a avid NASCAR fan. I have an old friend that is from Newport, TN do you know where that is? I bet the black 05 was choice looking wasn't it? Of course I am partial to black. But there is one out there waiting on you rest assured.

Take care and happy hunting, that has to be part of the fun and process, it can get :confused confusing but keep looking until you find that one with your name on it, then it will be meant to be :W

Thanks Bill! I've heard of Newport but thats the extent of it. Yeah, got to test drive it as well. We stayed out for a good hour, hour and a half before they put it in the showroom. Yeah, I continue to look. It could be a good year or more before I get one. Which sucks but I do know the time will be right.

I work at the Earhart campground right next to it. The money is good. That is all I can say. I hate race week. Hate it.

Adam, you may want to send a PM to member gmjunkie in North Carolina. He is selling a silver convertible C5 for a member that lives in Maine - vettboy.

Steve's Corvette has been well maintained and garage kept in Florida during Maine winters. I'm not sure what he wants for it, but it may be worth your time to check it out.

I know it's Tail of the Dragon tested and approved. :cool

You will find the Vette for you when the time is right. I bet race week for you does suck; I know I have worked the Brickyard 400 :lou here in Indy a couple of times at the gates and that sucks too, can't see any of the race and the crowd is murder for sure. I did work the infield one year and that was pretty cool; I rode in a roll back truck and picked up debris from the track some, didn't mind that at least I got to see some of the race. I haven't totally embraced the C-6 yet; I am still a stickler for the hiden head lights for one thing; I do like the high tech interior of the C-6 but to me it was hard to improve on the C-5 lines, but that's just me. Good thing I couldn't afford one anyway.

Take care and happy hunting,
Bill :)
