Hi guys,
first off all I'm sorry for my bad english. Second ... Hi, how are you?
I write from Italy and I'm realy happy to have a Vette in my garage. How a lot of you, this car is in my dream from a lot of years and, about from 3 weeks, I have one Vette '71 in my garage.

I had buy "SHE" in Florida in October by a very good man. The car needs work, but is not a problem for me. In Italy a have a shop of motorbike and Vespa with a big workshop where I will take car of my vette.

Now I have a problem with the allignment of the wheels, for example with the TOE of the rear right whell, but is true that I have to change the bearing of this whells (I don't know how..:bash).

I'm happy to enjoy in vette with you

Nice 71 Daniele, All four of my grandparents lived in Italy, not sure where. My last name is derived from the Arno River near Florence. Now that you have a Vette, I'm sure like the rest of us, your hooked for life.............Good luck with it.

Sorry I am back in the states or I would come help you

Hi,

The BEST GM mechanic in Europe is Frankie of Frankie's Garage in Germany.

Also there are some "Yanks" with know how at the bases in Naples, Sigonella, Aviano, Gaeda, etc. who will be more than happy to help you out with translating the service manual.

If you do not already have a service manual buy one on eBay. If the seller does not want to ship it to Europe you can send it to me and I will forward it to you.

Ciao Daniele. Bienvenuto a CAC !!

Yes, my italian stops right there.. :chuckle

Welcome to the CAC!!! I had the opportunity to visit many places in Italy during my time in the U.S. Navy, always enjoyed my time there. Well there was the 2 times that the end results was me in the back of an Italian police car (not so fond of those), but I was young and stupid in those days.

Hi new friends. Many thanks for the wellcome. I have just some manuals. I'm waiting you in Italy...

Welcome to the Forum Daniele. :w You have a very nice looking Corvette.

welcome to CAC!!
enjoy!

Welcome to CAC. Beautiful car you have there. Lots of good information here. :thumb

Ciao Daniele-

In what part of Italy do you live?

I have two friends who live in Italy, one near Milano the other near Firenza. Both own Corvettes. One of them is one of the very few people in Italy who can do complete high-perforamnce rebuilds of the V8 engines in Corvettes.

My Wife and I visited your country (Milano, Firenze, Venezia and Roma) in 2007 and met with my friends. I wrote an article for an American Corvette magazine about the trip.
