I am looking at buying a C5 from about 2000 miles away. It has ride adjustable QA1s, 19" wheels, and has been lowered. I am really worried about it being damaged in shipping. Other than overinflating the tires(which might give what ,3/16") what is the simplist method of temprarily increasing the ride height?

I think you'll find, if you select the right shipper, you're not going to have a problem. If the trucking company is experienced in moving exotic, collectible or race cars, they'll know how to tie the car down inside the trailer in a way that minimizes any chance of damage.
