I pulled the rims to give a good cleaning to inside wheel wells, suspension parts etc. and in the end - one side is pretty black & the other is a splotchy gray/black. ]

I used the same degreaser/brush/tire shine products on both sides & can't figure why the difference.

Anyone have a favorite product/procedure for these areas?

Thanks

Hey Froggy

I just use the stp foaming tire cleaner.(with a towel or drop cloth below so I dont stain my concrete with the residue)

AM sure someone has gone in with a light black paint or stain(primer maybe)....
But Id wait for another person who has actually done it! haha

good luck

I've had very good luck with the tire foams also. Give them a try.

Yup, tire foams do a decent job of restoring the "blackness" of the inner fender wells. However, bear in mind that they also tend to collect more dirt and dust than say, using something like Lemon Pledge.

I use Pledge to clean all the painted surfaces under the hood, the fender wells AND the leather and vinyl and painted surfaces on the interior as well....EXCEPT the seats. I use Meguiar's leather conditioner for them.
