My 007 had this problem when I got it. I actually went ahead and bought new switches and installed them, before I found that these could be "reconditioned". I did go ahead and do the reconditioning on the ones I took off and they looked worse than the ones in this video. Mileage doesn't seem to be a factor here (my 007 had about 33K on it), but I guessing, atmospheric conditions, even though the unit is sealed. Anyway I have a pair of reconditioned switches ready to swap out when the time comes.

This video makes it look easy, and in reality, it is that easy to do. Those who experience this problem, save your money (the pair of new switches cost me about $30), and do the fix.
