I am changing the parts in my interior and today I took all carpeting out of the cargo area,

my curtain is broke and I would like to remove it to see if I can repair.

how can I get this thing out ?

If memory serves me it is spring loaded & you have to pry on the end to compress the spring. A large screwdriver will usually work...Whoops.just read you have an 86. Can't be sure if the info applies. Hopefully someone with your year will come up with the proper answer.

It is just like one of those bathroom window curtains that roll up at the worst moment!

After you remove all of the trim you can see a screw holding each end of the roller mechanism. The book says that it will come out after you remove these screws but I had to drill out some rivets on my 90.

I saw these rivets too, and that's why I posted the message, to make sure I do not drill them out and later find out that a simple push pull or click would release it.

I will drill them saturday, so iff anyone has another solution please post before this saturday
