How much HP gain can I get from someone who knows how to use a program tuner?

Are you talking about taking it someplace where they can Dyno-tune or are you just talking about sending your ECM in and having it flashed? I'd say talk to your tuner and tell them what you are after and they can help you out.

Dyno tuning is by far the most accurate and they can tweak the computer far better than just guessing.

it depends on how bad it is now...

with fresh pugs, wires, air filter, injectors...
maybe 30..would be my guess...just to get the ball rolling
rwhp...230ish up to 270 maybe...man..i really have no idea...lol

it really depends on yer car..
if you have a corvette made after 1998 then you might get real seat of the pants gains
earlier models require a chip change to achieve the same results
a dyno tune cost about 750 out here but , once again, on the right car it would be money well spent
