Punch,

You posted that a couple months ago but I had to watch it again because it sounds so mean.

I said it then and I'll say it again, I'll bet you don't have too many guys challenging you with an exhaust tone like that!:D

Yea it is and it has the Hotcam. Let me tell you from experience that thing will GO GO GO. When we were doing the tune/scans, Punch did just that from about 30mph. Well it broke the brand new Goodyears (?) loose. He 'bout scared the bejesus out of me, I was busy watching the computer and not expecting it. It was pretty cool to see the TPS max out, the RPMs jump, and the MPH jump up. The best part is I have it all on a scan so I can replay it anytime ..... ahhh the memories.

I can't wait till Aug so I can put all the parts I've been stockpiling together. Those parts and the D44 3.45 rear I just put in should GETRDONE. I may have to drag Punch away from paradise just for a ride. :upthumbs

Keep up the good work Punch.
Aloha

Is Punch still running the stock TPI intake?

sorry guys for such a long delay on replying, fist to answer your question here Edmond, yes I have the stock TPS intake.....................well of course it's ported out and stuff like that which by the way will be for sale in the next few eeks once I recieve my LT-1 converted intake and slap it on my L-98, but thats a different story.

To answer "regalniz" question, HrtBeat1 was right, my engine is an L-98, but I dont know why it sounds like that either as far as lumpyness of the cam, lucky I guess? or maybe where I have the idle programed on the chip, ask Heart Beat One for where its set at, he has my Bin file and will be able to provide that answer there, I think it's in the neighbor hood of 650 to 750 rpm's? in gear.

Actualy Gerald (HrtBeat1) I was trying to catch the light before it turned red thats why I down shifted and stumpped it..........thats my story and I'm sticking with it. :L

Hey man, hurry back, cant wait to finaly just hang out with out having to worry about scans and stuff, just hang out, go eat and have fun.

Punch,

Did you have the heads work on as well?

That LT1 intake is going to get you big improvements in the higher RPM range.:D

You'll probably be in the 400hp range!:D

Thats hp range I'm esitmating as well, right now I believe I'm setting some where in the 340 - 350 range right now, from what i gather, the LT-1 intake will gain me around 40 - 45 hp or some where around there, which in turn will put me up in the 380-395 hp area, but I will lose a little bit of tourqe, like 19 fpt.

The heads have not been touched yet, I'm looking for a set so I can have them machined while the car can still be driven, then once the heads are pau being machined, they'll go on during the weekend and I'll have my tuner buddy tune it and it'll be ready to go, that will put it up near to the 500 hp range to quite though, but damn near close to it, like around what, 455 - 470 hp and even a bigger number in tourqe, and thats with the late great L-98. :upthumbs

I think its at 750 in park or neutral, of course depends on temp.

I'll be there middle of next month .... guess what ..... we've got 13 days before we go out, so there will plenty of time. How's Chuck's Cellar sound??? My treat, bring the wahine. BTW tell her I said aloha.

I wonder who that is? :D .... Or did you find somebody over there? Let me know if I need to bring the case.

Hey I sent you an email from work last week (maybe two). Did you get it? I was trying to go off memory ... you know how bad that is .... so I'm not sure if I got the addy right. The latest addition to the parts pile is a set of AFR 195 heads milled to 58cc, man they look sweet. The only part I'm missing is the short block .... that will be here when I get back in Aug. 383, zero decked, forged crank, LT4 connecting rods, with Mahle coated pistons should be about 11:1 CR so it will definately be premium fuel only. Then I get to test my tuning abilities once again.:lou I can't wait.

Punch,

Are you planning to run it in the 1/4? I wonder what kind of numbers you could achieve with your plans.:D
