I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with re-doing your valve gaskets. If so, how did you go about doing it? Any books that you can recommend for me? Thanks!

Do you mean valve cover gaskets or valve seals, which one?

I replaced my valve cover gaskets a few years ago, I used Fel-Pro P/N VS 50088 R. These were Silicone I think, haven't had any leaks since, these are for the Aluminum heads with center bolt valve covers. Getting the covers off is not that difficult, just have to remove a few things to get the covers off the engine, nothing you can't do in an afternoon if you take your time.

I had mine off last summer. Re used the same gaskets. They are a silicone rubber type material. The key is not to overtighten them.
