I was able to get my 62 running today

Larry, I'm no expert at this but couldn't you run this up in front of the radiator? There's gobbs of room between the rad and the front grille with lots of open air flow and the longer run could give you more heat dicipation.

If I added it to the radiator area then I fealt I would be adding the heat to my condencer coil and my radiator. I wanted this heat to be disapated some place else.

Allthough there is plenty of room the heat removed from the trans would then have to of been dealt with by the radiator.

The ideal spot I wanted was the passenger side recess right below the headlamps ( I was going to cut it open and put black screens on it )but the cooler was too think and interfeared with the bumper brackets

Larry,
A little tip on the shifter linkage. You must run the linkage with the heim joints on the trans side of the levers. If you put them on the outside of the levers, it will work fine until you try and pull it lower than drive, and then the linkage will bind against the indicator module. I thought I was having problems with my detents as well, but found out that I had just run the linkage wrong.

OK Larry, How about in the space between the passenger side fender skirt and the outer fiberglass cove area... behind the wheel wheel. Outboard of where the battery sits, not too far from where you are now, but probably allot cooler. Maybe on an angle.

Too narrow there.

I could have mounted it inside of the engine bay there bay there but it would have been more visable there

I am on the inside on the trans shifter bracket and on the out side on the shifter it self. I shaped my linkage rod so it doesnt hit anything.in order to get into 2nd or first i must depress the button,
