what's up guys and gals! I have an 85 corvette sometimes when I slow down at a stop light or to turn the engine dies or hesitates suddenly like it is going to die but doesn't. I thought about changing the idle air control but i don't understand why it doesn't die all the time and when it hesitates it does it fast like the ignition was turned off then back on real quick. It runs great going down the road any ideas? Thanks for any help

How long since the throttle body and IAC passages were cleaned?
They get carboned up limiting air flow.

I am not sure I traded for this car back in the spring and haven't had much time to mess with it . The guy I got it from said the motor had been recently rebuilt but I don't know if they cleaned the throttle body

Any stored codes, or does the SES light come on?

I will try cleaning the throttle body Is this a common problem? how often should it be cleaned thanks again everyone
