Under the stud

There is a stud centered in a black plastic... cage device.. the sides have slots for all the wires to run into.

The wires have ring lugs on the end.

All the rings go on the stud

a nut holds all the ring's down on the stud to clamp them.

This is one of the two styles of POWER DISTRIBUTION for all the STUFF in your car.

The Stud should be HOT!( +12 from the battery)

All the red wires are fusible links.

A fusible link.. is like a fuse.. but a bigger pain in the tail to replace.

SO... if a link is GOING.. this could be your answer.

In 93 they got rid of this style of power distribution and went to conventional fuses for UNDER the hood.

If you have the OLD STYLE link...

We MIGHT be able to solve this ourselves.
