Thanks but it's a start......what other radio would you instal to take the place of the orignal system...JEFNLSA said:FWIW...I do know that you can simply swap out the Bose Cassette w/ the Bose CD unit on 92-96 model years but I'm not so sure about those model year systems in relation to earlier model C4's.
In other words...I don't know if you can put one from a 96 in a 87 or vice versa.
Probably not much help but HEY, it's something.![]()

I'll give carstereohelp.com a try .....thanks.....In my 63 big chevy I put in the Pioneer system with all the bells and whisles... 200 watt,, satelite XM and remote.....It works greatJEFNLSA said:I know that Ecklers and such sell the aftermarket double din systems that you can put in there. You can also go to carstereohelp.com. They have techs that you can call and they know all about the different year Bose and Vettes.
I just replaced my stock system w/ a Pioneer head unit and I love it. It is a single din so below the stereo I installed an antenna switch in the faceplate of the mounting kit so I could control my antenna manually. I didn't like the fact that the antenna was up even when playing cds.
You just can't beat the new technology for sound quality. Just hang on to the original deck so it's available for a future owner. Future owner? Heck, I don't ever plan to get rid of my car! :L
