Is the OEM acrylic top clearcoated?

I have heard that it is not.
Just wanted you all to weigh
in and confirm this.

I asked a local body shop to
quote wetsand and buff of my
top, and he wanted $75 more
to clear coat it. I'm skeptical.

--In case you are wondering,
this isn't any shop. It's located
on the same lot as a used Corvette
dealer that has maybe 20 vettes on it
at any one time. This dealer does only
used corvettes, nothing else.

There have been posts relative to your question. Some stated that there is a clearcoating & that it started to peel & it was necessary to sand it off & then polish it out. I can't tell by looking at mine, but I would guess there is some kind of a coating applied?
