a friend of mine that knows everything about everything told me today that my ECM was bad and that is why my car runs the way it does.

how would i check it or know that it was bad? I just rebuild the motor and now I am put new injectors in today, thinking thats my problem.

Does the check engine light come on?
If so- what codes have you pulled?
Did you set the base timing to 12 degrees (or whatever is appropriate for your engine)? What is your base timing?
Did you break the engine in right?
Did you get the distributor reinstalled in the right spot for the timing to be accurate?
Did you get the timing right when you rebuilt the engine?

Sorry that I'm asking a lot of questions- but the more you can tell the CACers the more likely we can help.

We was setting the timing but the gun stopped working , so no the timing is not set and my check engine light does not come on . I think the bulb is shoot cause it don't come on when you turn the key over. The car only has a few miles on it right now cause it is dumpin so much gas and it runs like crap. Did u see my videos?

Well it'd be my guess that................
1. Get the "Check Engine" light fixed!!!
2. Get the timing set where it's supposed to be!!
You aren't going to be able to tell Jack Squat till those 2 things are done!!:thumb

Junk- you beat me to it.

Mojo92, you MUST replace the bulb and set the timing. Otherwise, you'll be throwing money at parts and getting nowhere fast. Your friend who diagnosed the ECM as a problem should have given you Junkie's advice. I'm willing to believe the ECM is just fine.

TPI should sound a bit like this...

Actually... it should sound better. I've advanced my timing 5 degrees since then!

Does anyone have or can get me some pics of how to check/change the bulbs in the info center display.

I'd suggest you invest in a Factory Service Manual, get it from Helms.com or you can sometimes find one on ebay.
If you check thru it you'll easily learn how to remove panel covers, check things out and other useful info. If you're trying to get it running now, order one from Helms and get it fed-exed overnight. You could end up spending hundreds for unneeded parts and repairs.
