Keyless Entry

I got a present a while back and it was a keyless entry system for the vet.. I have not installed it yet, but was thinking about it today, and am wondering if it will work with the factory security system..... You have to turn the key in the lock to disengage it, so is there a way to make the new system work???

I thought about it because i have probably set of the damn alarm 5 times already this week by locking the doors and not getting out right away....

I installed one on my 86.

This is for an 86 - an 89 can't be too different.

It works great, but took a whole weekend to install.
