Fixing Leather Seats???

Anyone know where I can buy or have fixed 85 pitted leather seats?? GM and other places i've seen (zip, ecklers, etc.) only sell the leather for both seats. Tried junk yards but they don't have the '85 dark bronze interior (now is when i wish the interior was black). Cash is tight but the driver's seat near the door is gone and looks horrible. Anyone have the same prob. How'd you fix it? Thanx guys! ;help

The leather used by GM for the vette is probably the worst quality available.

How many vettes do you know that have decent leather after 4yrs???????????

I was in a Volvo from 1993 and it looked better then my 96 and it is used as a daily driver with over 150,000 miles. Being that l really do not keep my cars for more then 3yrs it was had to draw a comparision.

But after seeing the leather in the Volvo l decided to check out other automobiles in the $30,000 area's. The reason for staying in this price range is because it's all that it's worth.

The bottom line is that we as vette owner's should sit down and write GM and tell them that we are tired of their fit and finish and cheap materials used.

The only thing that GM gives us is a big V8 period and the imports can match us with a 4 cyl turbo that will not rattle and run hot inorder to pass emissions tests.

Kingman, I hear ya! My ex-girl had a 1992 volvo 940 turbo and the leather in that car looks like it will last FOREVER. I think we should write a letter, won't do us any good cause we own the cars already, but it might give some feeling of satisfaction.
