License Plate: Poll

It's time for me to renew the registration on the vette, and I wanted to change the personal plates. The va dmv has an option to search and see what plates are taken and if the one you want is possible. Here is what I've come up with so far:

8-E ONE
WHITE 81
L81
L-81
Shark 81

Which one do you all like best? I'm leaning towards WHITE 81 and L-81.

I voted WHITE 81, but I like the L-81 too. The L-81 would probably raise more questions most people MIGHT be able to figure out that WHITE 81 means your car is a 1981 Corvette, but L-81 is a bit more conversational. Many don't know about the L-81

I've seen 8 T ONE too and thought that was kind of unique or 8 T 1

I personally voted for "SHARK 81". Althought I do like L-81, Maybe it's because mine is "81L81.

I like it, unfortunitally already taken! I think I'm leaning more towards WHITE 81 now. It's simple and no thinking involved.

I've got SHARK 81 on mine. I've still had people ask what year it was. In fact, some early 20's something kid asked if it was a 69 once.

Out of your choices, I voted for WHITE 81. I just got new plates for mine. I chose THE81VET. I know a guy with a 78 Silver A. and he had THE78VET. He suggested that I get THE81VET so that we could park the cars together and it would look like a mini show.

Yup, and I think he lives in Centreville. He show's up at the Corvette Cruise-In every year and (you're gonna love this) the car is white like yours.
