Although she was only 1.75 lbs she had the spirit and will of a much bigger dog. She loved to go for rides in my vette on my shoulder and she especailly loved to put her head out the window.

My wife and I will miss her, she lived to an old age of 12 years old. Her name was Cricket, and she loved life and sitting in her little patch of sunshine.

Sorry for giving you guys a downer on a beautiful Friday, but she was very close to us....

Good by old friend :cry :cry :cry

I am so sorry to hear about Cricket. She sure looks like a cutie!
Sometimes our best friends in life are our pets. I know you and your wife will miss her very much.

That's rough... been there and know how hard it is.

My dogs are a part of our family... hell, they are better behaved than kids!

Sorry for your loss. We have a house full of pets and I dread the time you have to say good bye.
My wife has stated NO more pets because its too hard to part with them,My thought are you must always get another to provide a good home for them.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

I too am truly sorry for your loss. The wife and I have two yorkies too. Lowell George and Precious. We almost lost Lowell last year and it wrecked us both. He's a little bigger than your little girl (almost 20lbs!) but he's just like a child to us. They both are!

My wife once said it wasn't fair that the housepets have a shorter life span. I told her that if you subtract the time we go to school, work, take care of the house, car, and pets - our life span is the same.

Small consolation - best I can do.

Get another Yorkie as fast as you can. Don`t look at it as a replacement, but instead as a tribute to the memory of Cricket for providing 12 great years of companionship and joy. .:)

Cricket

That is a beautiful name, and I bet she hopped and sang all over the place, too! ;)

I agree with many of the sentiments already expressed. Kenny does not like losing any of our pets and always makes the statement of "no more"...but I really feel that the best tribute we can give our loved animal family members is to share that love with as many more as we can. I feel that that is why their life span is so much shorter...to allow us to love as many animals as we can during OUR lifetime.
Heidi =^..^=
(currently 8 cats and 1 horse, have lost 7 cats, 1 dog and 1 horse in the last 10 years)

The sorrow of loss, is but the measure, of how great the love.

Sorry for your loss. I have a yorkie and my mother has 2 of them. Yorkies have heart as big as all the outdoors. They are wonderful animals. Now, if I was only half the person my dog thought I was, as the saying goes. Classic

Sorry to hear about your loss. We too have a 17 year old Yorkie who is almost blind and deaf, but has a big heart. Yorkies are great!

Cricket was a cutie!

On behalf of our five cats (Big Block, Riley, Tasha, Indy and Zora) please accept our condolences for you as Cricket crosses the Rainbow Bridge.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your 'vettin buddy Cricket.

My frequent Corvette driving companion is Clyde (who is a Shi-Tzu but thinks he is a person) and I know how much pleasure I get from his company.

Hold on to the memories of all the great times you shared with Cricket (who by the way was a real cutie) and it may help you in the coming weeks.

Dave

Sorry for your loss Collin. I doesn't make any difference if you have one dog or 11 cats and 3 dogs they are all family.

Tom

Sorry to hear of your loss, we have a dog and two cats and they are part of our family. I feel for your loss.

Thanks to all my friends on the forum for your thoughts and comments. It's certainly a comfort to know my wife and I are not alone with the closeness we have with our pets. Again thank you it was a comfort.
