OK this is a weird question but my interior restoration (64 conv) involved reglassing some of the tranny tunnel and as I am preparing for my interior install it seems that the luggage stop is missing!?? the "wall" in front of the jack storage areas is not there (except for the base which is flush with the jack storage cover) . . was this a metal piece or what . .its the piece that the carpet is glued to if that helps you visualize what I"m talking about.

Had to take mine out during interior restoration because it was bent out of shape and "reform" it.
New ones are cheap.

Yup, that metal panel is the primary stiffener for the floor pan area - it rivets to the floor pan and to the inner lock pillars on each side. Corvette Central has it - for a '64 it's their #482441.
