Mirror Removal

Hey does anyone have any pointers on removing the side mirrors? I removed mine (just the bolts) but it looks like the wiring goes way into the door harness. I don't see any connectors near the mirror that would hasten their removal. Is the plug buried deep? I was thinking of cuttung the wires and placing a Delco style waterproof connector in the harness but would like to avoid this.

Their is a connector...the wires are about 8-10 inches long...just follow them
